A master bathroom oasis

Clients Richard & Ben reached out to me when they wanted to upgrade their master suite. Richard, an avid gardener & landscaper had a vision of bringing elements of the outdoors into the new space. We opened up the bathroom by incorporating a wet room with three large windows, revealing the couple’s meticulously manicured backyard.

The blue tile in the swimming pool was visible from the shower windows, and I wanted to incorporate this element in the new bathroom. I selected these glazed tiles from Seneca for the shower walls. Each of these tiles is hand packed and fired in a kiln, giving a unique finish. Across from the shower, double vanities in natural oak give warmth and contrast to the cool blue tones.

The focus of this project was to incorporate natural elements, so we chose Mexican beach pebbles for the shower and tub surround floor. The large Jacuzzi tub is positioned in front of one of the shower’s windows providing a relaxing view of the lush landscaping.

Black cabinet hardware from Rejuvenation stands out against the natural cabinet finish, a perfect complement to the vanity sconces designed by Kelly Wearstler.

The Fantasy Brown countertop slab was the unifying piece, with tones of blue, brown, & honey.

I wanted the master suite to feel like a luxury boutique hotel that you never want to leave. With a neutral backdrop of white walls and creamy beige trim, I went for bold colorful accents of red and blue.

With a view of the outdoors, The custom chaise lounge is the perfect spot to curl up with a blanket and a good book on a sunny day.

The Bernhardt nightstands are standout pieces with brass wrapped drawers framed in stained white oak. The Aerin lamps on each bedside table are hard to ignore. I’ve had my eye on these beauties for a long time, and this bedroom was the perfect place to bring them home. Layered under the bed, the common thread that ties everything together- a Persian rug in red, blue, cream & gold.

This is a timeless space that I hope will be enjoyed for years to come.
